about

The set begins with a jig composed by Tristan while relocating from the Stoneybatter area of Dublin, and transitions into a slow air derived from a well-known song about the Penal Laws of 17th century English-occupied Ireland, when Catholic Masses could only be held covertly at places such as a Mass Rock. The last tune is a composition of Monaghan fiddler Dónal Mc Cague.
